CIEL | News: CIEL and Agri-EPI Centre host Dame Ottoline Leyser, Chief Executive of UKRI

The visit from Dame Ottoline Leyser was an important opportunity to provide insight into work of the UK Agri-Tech Centres, at the heart of translating of science into best practice to deliver benefits across the agrifood sector.

Ottoline visited the Agri-EPI Northern Hub and the CIEL-supported Large Animal Research and Imaging Facility (LARIF), co-developed with the University Of Edinburgh. Dr Mark Young, Head of Innovation at CIEL, and Dave Ross, Chief Executive of Agri-EPI, provided examples of work the Agri-Tech Centres are doing to benefit sustainability and commercial impact, leveraging their networks including key academic partners.

We are grateful to the University of Edinburgh for the overall co-ordination of the visit.
